Central Aceh -  Indonesia ,  is a regency in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, Indonesia.The regency covers an area of 4318.39 square kilometres and according to the 2012 census had a population of 277,631 people Gayo. Central Aceh is famous for its beautiful Lake Laut Tawar. Its capital is Takengon. In 1969, the Southeast Aceh Regency was separated from the Central Aceh Regency. It is the main centre of coffee production within Aceh province and is home to the Gayo people who are mostly concentrated in this regency and in the southeast Aceh. Arabica coffee production from Central Aceh Regency and Bener Meriah are about 75,000 Tons/ Year with plantation area reached about 153 thousand hectares.
